EDUCATION at CARNGLAZE

 

Carnglaze has a range of habitats for study including -

 
 

Macro

- Mature woodland rich in leaf litter with easily observable invertebrates, song birds, evidence of small mammals (bats,rabbits), evidence of larger mammals (fox,badger and various species of Birds of Prey including Tawney owl,Buzzard), Vegetation includes Oak,Beech,Holly,Silverbirch,Hazel,Campion,Bluebells,Ferns,Mosses, lichens and fungi.

- Pond which is rich in invertebrates from Midge larvae to water boatmen. Hatched flying insects include Dragonfiles. Amphibians include Frogs and Newts and there is a variety of plant life, marginal and aquatic mini.

Caverns with reduced light.
