Editor’s notes
·During the Second World War, the Royal Navy used the first of three caverns at Carnglaze to store its supply of rum. In 2001 it was converted into an auditorium, with seating for 400. The slate walls and roof form a stunning backdrop for performances, making this a unique venue. Due to the shape and height of the cavern, the acoustics are outstanding and are acclaimed by many of the international performers who have been to Carnglaze (The Rum Store).
