City Voices Cardiff present a concert of music from across the whole musical spectrum. You’ll hear a selection of songs from their repertoire (see list below) including Coldplay, Elbow and Radiohead alongside Eric Whitacre and Morten Lauridsen, and then you add to the mix some classic Disney songs and some songs from the shows. Quite literally something for everyone. All of this sung by a 100 voice choir.
City Voices Cardiff was formed in 2008 and grew from a membership of 25 to a membership of 180 in just under 5 years. In that time it has been involved in concerts raising over £45,000 for a mixture of charities in a variety of venues across Cardiff, as well as further afield. The choir are delighted to be visiting the South West for the first time and to performing concerts in aid of local charities Children’s Hospice Southwest (Carnglaze Caves) and Mt Edgcumbe Hospice, Cornwall Hospice Care (St John’s Methodist, St Austell).
The concert is conducted by their Founder and Music Director Simon Curtis and accompanied by Rhiannon Pritchard.
